Why is it so cold?
So yesterday it was 23 degrees. Today, it snowed. What is up with that? The changes in weather has caused me to have a headache and to feel sick again today. I guess my stressed body isn't up to fighting off colds yet. Still recovering!:) Plus, on top of everything, I'm fighting insomnia. I have been having trouble sleeping the past few nights even though I am so tired.
In regards to the bible study, I ended up leaving with my ride after Survivor and didn't get to stay for the actual bible study. It is such a long night for me either way, just trying to get there and back. I was actually kind of glad to leave with my friend because she drove me all the way home. I don't enjoy walking home late at night! So, I'm going to have to think about whether I will keep going or not. Survivor was interesting but I can take it or leave it. I am able to join another bible study that occurs every second Sunday afternoon. Going to it this week so I'll see what it's like and decide.
Finished my lessons for the LDAA and had the first group today. It went really well! Only six kids and they left saying how much they enjoyed the group and couldn't wait to return next week! That certainly made me feel more confident. I have a meeting to "officially" get hired on Tuesday (long story but basically I'm hired because I worked for the LDAA but a private school runs the group for them and they want to meet with me and see my resume and such just for formality reasons). I'm getting a little frustrated with my family groups with the Children's Village. My Thursday one got cancelled and my Monday one looks like it'll be going ahead but it got moved back another week. We'll have to wait and see how it all goes.
So, I am coming to the realization that I have to start doing some work now. Got an email from my thesis supervisor asking about progress and so I want to make sure I'm actually making progress!:) This week will be a little busy as I have a few meetings to finish things off for my practicum (this past week was Spring break for the Catholic board so I wasn't able to do it this week). Also, in response to my "In Need of a Girl's Night Out" post, the girls from school are planning on going to a jazz club on Wednesday night to see one of our professor's daughters perform. Should be fun! And the same night (earlier in the evening), the African Children's Choir is performing- hope you remembered Amanda! I am very excited!
Anyway, I'm going to watch some TV and head to bed. Long day tomorrow and a busy week ahead! I will post again soon to fill you all in!
'Til then- love and prayers
